Your album

Your photos come back on a USB drive you own: organized, every one labeled, with the stories in your family’s own voices. The album is how you look through it.

It opens on any computer. No membership or monthly fee.

Sample album: the Harper family album library

The Harper family is a sample album. Every picture on this page is marked Sample album.

Five ways to find a photo

Each one takes you to an album. Open the whole album, or just one year, or just one place.

Search

Type a name, a place or a year.

People

An album for every person, with every photo they’re in.

Places

Grandma’s house, the lake cabin, with city and state.

Occasions

Christmas, birthdays, the trips.

Favorites

The ones your family marked with a heart.

Sample album: an album’s inside cover with years, places and people

How an album is organized

Every album has an inside cover. Before you look at a single photo, it shows you what’s in there: which years, which places, and who’s in the photos, with a count for each.

Tap “Open all” to see everything, or tap one year or one place to see just those. Christmas, 1984, Grandma’s house: three taps.

Turn a photo over, and keep adding to it

Who’s in it, when, where and what was happening, in your family’s own words. Press Hear it and Aunt Carol tells it herself.

Pile of Pics labels every photo to start. Then it’s yours: tap Change to add a name, a date or a place whenever someone remembers one. The more of the family who join in, the more each photo tells.

Sample album: the back of a photo with who, when, where and a recorded story
Sample album: questions for the family

Questions for your family, and stories any time

Anything nobody knew is kept as a question, never a guess. The album lists them in one place. Answer when you know, leave the rest.

And press record on any photo to tell it in your own voice. Hand the laptop to your mother and let her tell the next one. Every recording is kept with its photo, with the words written out beside it.

Sample album: a family scrapbook page

Make a scrapbook, and share it

Pick photos, add paper and stickers, write a line, record your voice on a page. Print it, play it back, or share it with the family.

What’s on the USB drive

The drive works with no album at all. A grandchild with File Explorer finds “Christmas 1984 at Grandma’s house” in three clicks.

Your photos, organized

Folders by place, occasion and decade, in the order you choose. Every file named with its date, place and who’s in it.

The album

Double-click and it opens. Changes and scrapbooks work in Chrome or Edge.

Your recordings

Every story, with what was said written beside it.

A copy, anywhere

One click copies everything to your computer. Keep the drive somewhere safe.
